About Me
Hi there, I’m Eric LaFontaine. I was born and raised in Indianapolis, but eventually made my way south where the weather is warmer, the moss hangs from the trees, and the lighting is objectively better. I moved to Charleston to study Communication at the College of Charleston and quickly fell head over heels for the Lowcountry’s culture, history, and scenery that seems almost suspiciously designed to be photographed.
Creativity has always been my thing. Give me a camera, a good story, and a little interesting light and I’m in my element. Over the years I’ve worked with small businesses and local organizations creating everything from photography to brand assets and social media content. I love helping people bring their ideas into focus and making sure what they’re creating looks just as good as it feels.
I’m naturally drawn to the little details most people walk past. The texture of an old brick wall, the way sunlight spills across the marsh, or those fleeting everyday moments that deserve a second look. Photography lets me capture those things before they slip out of frame.
When it comes down to it, I just really enjoy making the world a little more beautiful one photo at a time.
